Lea was born in August 2000. She is a lovely, playful and very gentle Border Collie x Whippet or Lurcher. Lea is very cuddly and a little anxious. Lea likes to keep her beautiful white coat nice and clean and also enjoys sun bathing. Lea believes that she is at least half a cat and refuses to eat her dog food unless a little bit of dried cat food is added. Lea is the softest and most cuddliest of our four four-legged children. She likes hiding behind Ben, Jacob and Rosie.

It is an absolute bliss to see Lea running. A very special child once called her "Lea - she runs like the wind" - how very true.

We have adopted Lea from The Dog Rescue and Welfare Society, Tower Farm, Stokenchurch in November 2001. She had stayed there for almost a year. Lea had been waiting for us to pick her up so that she could be reunited with her beloved soulmate Ben, our German Shepherd x Border Collie. Ben had been adopted from the same rescue home 2 years prior to Lea.

Sadly our beloved Lea crossed the rainbow bridge on the morning of the 28th of July 2013. Our most beautiful elegant princess has left us to be united with Ben, Jake and Rosie. We will miss her and her friendly ways very much. She has been so friendly with everybody - with dogs, cats and humans alike, and has always been happy. Yonah and Candy are heartbroken and so are our four cats. They all came to say good-bye to Lea in the morning. She had been still playing with Yonah just two days before. Even though she had heart problems for a long time - and took medication with good success - it all happened very quickly. The weather has been just too hot for her. At least she did not suffer for long and went on her own terms. She will be in our heart forever.
